Ricardo Maza Quiroga was born in Malaga, Spain. He received his B.S in Chemical Sciences, in 2015, from the Universidad de Málaga. His Bachelor´s project was based on the study of vitamin C biosynthesis in strawberries, as well as the study of the enzymatic activity of D-galacturonic reductase (GalUR). Later, he graduated in the Master's Degree in Advanced Chemistry, Materials and Nanotechnology at the same University. In the course of the Master's degree, he worked at the Andalusian Research Center for Nanomedicine and Biotechnology (BIONAND), having previously worked with this group, where he emphasized the investigation of synthesis, purification and characterization of compounds used for the synthesis of dendrimers BODIPY (boron-dipyrromethene) type bio-mimetic fluorophores. He is currently doing industrial research at the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) in Tarragona, Spain, under the supervision of Dr. Elena Fernández. and Dr. Jordi Carbó
